Executive Director, United Nations Fund for International Partnerships (UNFIP)
Amir Dossal is Executive Director of the United Nations Fund for International Partnerships, responsible for managing the partnership between the United Nations and the UN Foundation. Under his leadership UNFIP provides advisory services and also builds new alliances with corporations, foundations and philanthropists to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
Mr. Dossal has been behind UNFIP’s most innovative achievements including the creation of UN partnerships with the technology sector. In 2005, he established a strategic Fund for Democracy, to strengthen democratic institutions. Earlier this year, he led the Transition Team to set-up the first ever Peace-building Support Office to help bridge development gaps in post-conflict countries. Prior to joining UNFIP, Mr. Dossal held key positions in the UN Departments of Management and Peacekeeping Operations, UNDP, as well as the private sector.
