World Bank Managing Director to address Wall Street at Africa Investor-NYSE Summit
London 1st July 2008. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Managing Director of the World Bank has confirmed her participation at the Ai Index Series Summit in association with NYSE Euronext.
Ai (Africa's leading benchmark and Index provider) and NYSE - (Euronext as the world leader for listings) have come together to host this annual summit to profile African companies to the institutional investment community and Wall Street. The summit, scheduled for 15th September at the New York Stock Exchange, will profile leading African listed companies on the Ai Index Series and heads of African stock exchanges to US investors through interactive match making sessions.

The Summit will facilitate opportunities between Africa investor's best performing Index constituent companies, Wall Street & global emerging market investors. Speakers and guests include: heads of investment banks, securities houses, asset management firms, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, pension funds, SRI investors, African companies and exchanges, brokers, capital market regulators and central bank governors.

The Ai index Series summit is the opening part of the three major international events linking African and US capital markets: the Ai Index Series awards to be held on the evening of the 15th September, will reward the best performing leaders from Africa's capital market community; the Ai SRI & Sovereign Wealth Roundtable in association with the UN office for international partnerships & NEPAD, is a closed door event which will be held on the 16th September. The Ai Index Series awards are the foremost African awards that recognise stock markets, listed companies, fund managers, stockbrokers and analysts who follow African equities.
The summit is held in association with NYSE Euronext and endorsed by the African Securities Exchange Association (ASEA). The event is sponsored by Oceanic Bank (platinum sponsor) and the Nepad Business Group.
