Africa investor CEO Forum on Infrastructure, Enegry & Clean Tech Project

The Africa investor CEO Forum and Investment & Business Leaders Awards is a unique business forum for decision makers designed to facilitate action to highlight and address project specific investment climate challenges and to shed light on Africa's investment success stories. This year's focus will be to gather the African private sector's views on climate change, energy and Africa's industrial development and contribute the findings to leading African and international policy makers ahead of COP 15 - The United Nations Climate Change conference in Copenhagen, to support the implementation of a business friendly post Koyoto framework. Africa investor is collaborating witht he United Nations and 180 financial service organisations, during the week of the 19 - 23 October 2009, in its' efforts to ensure the African fiance and business voice is heard clearly at the UN Climate Summit in December 2009.
The Forum will run over one and a half days and discuss:
* Financing Africa’s infrastructure
* The Role of the private sector
* Legal and regulatory issues
* Sector specific focus on Transport, Mining, Power & Energy,
Telecoms and various other highly relevant topics.
Objectives
The role of the African private sector is yet to be heard in this debate and the Africa investor CEO Forum will provide a platform for the continent's leading CEO's and companies committed to sustainable development to share their views and priorities immediately ahead of the Copenhagen Summit and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative Global Roundtable being held in Cape Town.
The Forum will have prominent business leaders as Co-Chairs and will be a high-level roundtable that canvasses CEO's views and practical case examples of what business in Africa is doing and would like to see across the sectors. The outcomes will be written up and shared with African and international policy makers participating in COP 15.
