Tourism in Africa is growing at the fastest rate in the world - close to 10%, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).

Africa investor is proud to launch the inaugural Tourism Investor Awards to reward initiatives and investments changing the face of tourism in Africa.

The Awards will be presented at a gala cocktail event on on 25 February 2008.

Objectives

To recognise and reward individuals, businesses and organisations that are driving the export-leading tourism industry in Africa.

Professor Geoffrey Lipman - Assistant Secretary General of the UNWTO - will chair the Tourism Investor Awards judging panel.
